Welcome to Wild Scoops, an Alaskan microcreamery. Our small batches of ice cream are fresh, adventurous and wildly delicious. Alaskan ingredients and local products shine.
At Wild Scoops, we believe that ice cream should be more than just ice cream. It should be a chance to build community and to share experiences. It should inspire; it should delight.
We craft inventive flavors in our Anchorage Test Kitchen, and sell them year-round at our scoop shops, as well as various farmers markets and pop-ups! We believe ice cream has the power to tell stories and spread joy. Our mission is to connect Alaskans with a sweet sense of place and share an authentic taste of Alaska with our guests. We launched Wild Scoops in 2015 and since then, we have created over hundreds of unique flavors, starring local ingredients and collaborations. In 2017, we opened the doors of a tiny brick-and-mortar scoop shop in Downtown Anchorage. In late spring of 2019, we moved our Test Kitchen to the Metro Mall in Midtown and opened a second Scoop Shop right next door. In 2023, we refurbished a shipping container into “The Cone-tainer” downtown and moved our Test Kitchen into yet a bigger space!
Alaskans Love Ice Cream
What’s more, we eat the most ice cream per capita of any state! Instead of relying on a product transported through a long supply chain, we wanted to create it right here: ice cream with a strong sense of place. It’s a celebration of Alaskan ingredients, starring products from local growers, gardens and vendors. Each batch is concocted and churned right in Anchorage.
Every flavor has a story. Maybe it’s a tale of Vanderweele carrots, Bridge Creek Birch Syrup or Summit Spice tea blends. It might be inspired by the Iditarod, Mt. Denali, Fat Bear Week, favorite childhood recipe or moose droppings. We pride ourselves in using Alaskan ingredients, directly knowing the farmer who grew our basil or the baker who shaped our cookies. We make our add-ins ourselves and avoid artificial flavors. We believe that good food should make you feel good.
